THIS SATURDAY! The Sault Community Career Centre in partnership with the Sault College Native Student Council, are proud to present A Tribe Called Red as the headline performance on Saturday May 3, 2014 for the Passport To Unity Multicultural Festival.
The 2014 multi Juno nominated - and winning - trio will be performing their tribal, electronic flavour at the Sault College Student Health and Wellness Centre. This is their first visit to Sault Ste. Marie, and we at Ears and Eyes feel that we're incredibly fortunate to have this group come through and perform. One of the coolest things about this performance is that it's ALL AGES! Which totally coincides with how we roll with our concerts.
Opening for ATCR will be local hip hop artists OUTSPOKEN and LOCAL. This opportunity was gained through last month's event, An Audition with No Name, in which local artists were given the chance to perform and be selected to play beside the JUNO winning group. An Audition with No Name was organized with Ears and Eyes partners / friends Passport to Unity, Soo York City (local hip hop community), 8:56 (local think tank) and Hillary Worldwide (local change-maker)
