The nom de plume of a Sault Ste. Marie-based, 18 year old musician, The Pixo Control are a rock band. Musically, the band draws on classic rock, blues and punk influences like White Stripes, Pearl Jam and Nirvana. Rock and roll is the honest thing to call it, but the music isn’t trying to be anything specific. The Pixo Control is more like a vehicle of expression for a group of friends whose goal is to make ears happy in every way possible.
Their debut 12 song CD Probably Not is available now through Tidal Records. Currently the band line up is made from Michael Mikus on guitar and vocals, Dustin Goodall on bass and Keeghan Rosso on drums. Since forming in 2014, they have played close to 40 shows including opening sets for Treble Charger and Jon McKiel.
This year they will be touring Ontario with Moon King, The Carpenteers and Id Iota as well as recording an album with engineer-producer Dustin Goodall in Sault Ste. Marie.
